Frequently asked questions

Are there only women on the team?

In practice - it depends on the crew of a particular store. The nature of our industry means that statistically more than 90% of our store employees are women, but we also hire men if they see their place here. Ask the Manager if there is a gentleman working in your team specifically 😉.

Will I get coffee/tea? Should I bring my own utensils and drinks?

As Hebe, we provide employees with the most necessary supplies such as instant coffee, black express tea, sugar, coffee milk or water from a dispenser. The Store Manager orders these items centrally. In the social room there are usually utensils that employees now use, it is worth bringing your favorite cup, bowl or plate. This will make it easier to acclimate, and if someone wants to make you coffee - they will already know in which cup 😊.

Do I have to go somewhere for training?

Deployment usually takes place at the store where you will be working. The exception, of course, are new locations where the first Hebe will open - in this situation, the deployment will take place at the nearest possible location - on a business trip, of course, which means that we reimburse the cost of travel and a food allowance is charged. We implement training in Hebe in the form of online and through a learning platform. This means that you can participate in these activities comfortably, if only from your own couch 😊. For more details on dates, organizational issues and training opportunities, ask your Manager or Deputy.

How is the work schedule arranged? What rules apply?

The Store Manager prepares the schedule for the entire month of work for his team by the 20th of the preceding month, e.g. the schedule for June is prepared by May 20. In the schedule, you may have morning, mid-day and afternoon shifts scheduled - in each, the start and end times of the shifts may be slightly different due to the different opening and closing times of the stores and the delivery cycle. Night hours occur at selected locations, for which you will, of course, be paid accordingly. For appointments that are important to you (medical appointments, family plans, trips, etc.), you can submit your schedule requests to the Store Manager. His is also a good idea to inquire on your first day about what shifts and hours are like at your Hebe location.

Can I have all weekends/Saturdays off?

The work schedule takes into account employee requests, changes in promotions, deliveries, and takes into account labor law guidelines. We want the schedules to be arranged as fairly as possible, which means that most often every team member works on Saturdays/commercial Sundays. Of course, not all 😊 Specific answers on this topic will be provided by the Store Manager.

What is the atmosphere like at work?

At Hebe, beauty is people - our strength is teamwork and friendly atmosphere. We operate professionally and in accordance with procedures and standards, but at the same time at ease. Be prepared to tell new co-workers a few sentences about yourself, this will help you break the ice and get to know each other. Relationships in the teams are partnerships and camaraderie, and many of us have found friends here for years. We believe that you will also feel comfortable with us 😊.

Are there any appearance standards in place?

For women - Makeup is a part of our employee's image, as it affects the image of Hebe as a whole. In order to effectively advise products and sell them, it is necessary to build the authority of an expert in the eyes of the customer. Makeup helps a lot in this, but we know that not everyone feels comfortable in a strong version of it. That's why we leave it up to you to choose - highlight one area clearly - eyes or lips or face. You can use the testers available in the store. Often our Managers have secured hygienic testers/samples for the team to use. We don't have employee discounts, but don't worry - thanks to numerous internal contests, benefit cafeteria and many attractive promotions, your makeup bag is sure to fill up quickly with cosmetic gems 😊. For men - it's worth taking care of your hands and beard (if anyone has one, of course). Each of our employees also receives a cosmetic shirt/coat, which are worth taking care of so that they are always fresh and ironed.

How long does my break last?

According to the current Labor Code, any employee who works more than 6h on a given day - is entitled to a 15min break. If the shift is scheduled for 6h or less - the break is not entitled.

Is it possible to transfer to another store?

Yes. If there is another Hebe in your city or there are several in the area, you may be occasionally delegated to another location to support the crew in a store remodeling, a difficult staffing situation or, for example, in preparing the opening of a new Hebe. The opportunity to see what the reality of working in another store is like is often an interesting experience that allows you to gain new experiences and acquaintances. Such secondments are carried out in accordance with applicable labor regulations. Of course, you also have the opportunity to request a change of store for various reasons, such as private reasons - such as a change of residence.

Am I responsible for damaged merchandise/theft/checkout manifold at Hebe?

No. We do not charge our employees for costs associated with such events. In case of theft or damage to goods, let's follow the procedure that applies to all stores. You will learn it any day 😉.
